Songs from the movie (and some dropped) recorded by Judy Garland, Harold Arlen and popular performers of the day. Most were made to promote the movie on "live" radio broadcasts, etc. The "Maxwell House Good News" radio show featuring Garland and other members of the cast plus Harold Arlen. (complete show released on CD by Jass Records in 1992), the Decca album of songs from the film, not previously on CD, with Judy and The Ken Darby Singers, and "pop" singles of the day by Glenn Miller's Band, Betty Hutton ("The Jitterbug"), excerpts from the film soundtrack, and more. Four versions of "Over the Rainbow," performed by Judy Garland: movie version, a "live" version, a "pop" version and one with the Tommy Dorsey orchestra recorded to sell government war bonds.
