| Tony Yazbek did a great job of staging this at David Geffen Hall with Norm Lewis in magnificent form. There were 500 chorus members from choirs around the country that entered the hall from all doors and filled it with glorious voices. I wasn't familiar with this work by Stephen Schwartz but he was in attendance and they placed a spotlight on him in the orchestra during the curtain call. I can't say I was crazy about the musical, but it got a great concert presentation. |
