The original cast of SNL had 7 people. The current cast has 7 women (10 men)
And - I feel rather bad saying this - but in recent years I feel the cast members have gotten more and more interchangeable. I never felt that way watching the original group, even as a kid - maybe it's because it was a smaller group so they all got to shine more, but I really tend to feel that the current cast members (with a few exceptions) don't tend to stand out on their own nearly as much. |
