I don't like to over generalize on Broadway musicals that are based on films. I'm a huge fan of Carousel, Where's Charley?; The King and I; The Sound of Music; Pipe Dream; My Fair Lady; Hello, Dolly!; Carnival!; Funny Girl; She Loves Me; Sugar; Silk Stockings; The Producers; Wonderful Town; Kismet; The Most Happy Fella; Take Me Along; Irma La Douce; Oliver!; Golden Boy; Half a Sixpence; Sweet Charity; Cabaret; and so many others I can't think of right now.
I agree that Back to the Future works for me. |
