It is a very weird announcement coming more than a year after the show closed. I'm not surprised that the revival of The Piano Lesson recouped given the presence of Jackson and Washington, plus it's one of Wilson's greatest plays IMO.
Hopefully it's a sign that we are more or less getting back to normalcy, and there will be a little more transparency about shows informing the public that they have recouped their investment. That really was the norm for almost a century. |
