What a boondoggle! You climb 20 stairs to enter the building, the older folks and the disabled have to search for a single elevator hidden from view. Hardly welcoming to the public at large. A cramped lobby awaits you with low ceilings that are reminiscent of Penn Station. The only refreshments ( besides the high priced Samuelson restaurant) is a tiny cart selling canned coffee and stale spiced nuts (5 bucks for a third of a cup). You wait for a single elevator up to the theatre( no rest rooms on the same level as the theatre). When leaving you are forbidden to use any of the numerous doors and have to file in a long line to use the revolving door ( only one revolving door is permitted as the officious staff bark at you). This is what half a billion dollars buys- an architect who seems never to have stepped foot inside a functioning public space.
