I was disappointed in Suffs when I saw it at the Public. The score wasn’t that distinctive and I usually like Taub’s work. And the staging at the Public was awkward and stilted.
I heard there were a lot of changes made but I’m not going to buy a ticket until I hear more reactions from friends.
Phillipa Soo was my favorite performer off Broadway but I heard her part has been rewritten and it was interesting to see she didn’t move with the show. |
