There was a small-scale revival in the UK a few years back, and it yielded a cast recording.
Unfortunately the revised version of the script/score it used is pretty dreadful. The revised book solves some problems but creates others, and in the process significantly diminishes the score. It's a pity, because there's some extraordinary music in the show, and some of the best songs Charles Strouse ever wrote. |
