Tues., 3/26: Days of Wine and Roses -- Relentless, uncompromising musical drama. James and O'Hara give Tony worthy performances. Score is top notch, but more chamber opera, than typical Broadway music.

Wed. matinee, 3/27: Appropriate -- Dysfunctional family gathers to settle estate after patriarch's passing. Outrageously funny, but also horrifying. Shocking secrets from the passed revealed, lots of eeriness involved. Great cast, Sarah Paulson, Corey Stoll are the standouts.

Wed. evening, 3/27: Kimberly Akimbo -- Victoria Clark still giving an incredibly moving performance which makes show worth seeing again for me. Doesn't work as well in the Booth as it did at the Atlantic.

Thurs. evening, 3/28: SUFFS -- Powerful story, well told. Very good musical score, probably one of this season's best. Fine ensemble performances led by Colella, Taub, James, and Skinner.

Fri. evening, 3/29: Andrea McArdle at 54 Below -- Highly entertaining cabaret act. 15 musical numbers from Annie Get Your Gun, Les Miserables, Anyone Can Whistle, Annie, Follies, Cabaret, Listen Darling, State Fair, Meet Me in St. Louis, The Wizard of Oz, Hello, Dolly!, plus one Streisand and one Billy Joel song. Great banter by a terrific raconteur. The highlight of my trip.
