Barbara Rush, award-winning actress of film, TV and stage, passes away at 97

On film, Rush starred with Paul Newman (3 times), Frank Sinatra and Rock Hudson. On TV, she appeared on ''Peyton Place'' and ''All My Children.''

Onstage, she won the L.A. Drama Critics Circle award for ''A Woman of Independent Means,'' a one-woman show she took to Broadway in 1984.

Rush also toured in ''Forty Carats'' (winning the Sarah Siddons Award in Chicago), plus ''Twigs,'' ''The Unsinkable Molly Brown'' and ''Steel Magnolias.''
