| Which makes sense given that as stated..a 45 year old who looks as good as NS is not believable as 50 especially without wigs, turbans etc. Making Norma 40 instead of 50 changes the silent film time frame a little. Talkies would have come in when this Norma was a teen and headlining silents. It was hard to get used to no sets, no props etc.("This is a very important picture" says Norma but she's not holding a script) but the big Orchestra and the cast make it well worth seeing. Anxious to see who her alternate will be. Ebersole or Murphy could play Norma in their sleep but maybe not in a slip.... | |
