Saw it April 2 preview to a packed house. Fantastic night, though might help if one is stoned when watching this. I can see how it might seem boring, but I think if one is sitting close enough to the action, it's very funny, and the actors do such a good job that the 3 hours pass almost without noticing. And the music is absolutely glorious. Each character is carrying some baggage that ultimately explains their actions in the play, and is either revealed to the audience in the end, or is kept secret but creates heartbreaking situations. For me, Eli Gelb had the most fascinating character, as the album producer. And Sarah Pidgeon sang her heart out. It's thrilling to watch this cast perform the music so beautifully.
