I’ve seen it in London with a replacement cast in December.
I think it’s totally unnecessary if you’ve seen the Mendes production. It takes a very similar approach, and adds nothing new. Some choices are just immature. Sally sings the title number so over the top, it took me completely out of the show.
If you haven’t seen cabaret done in the last 25 years - especially Mendes’ staging - you will likely enjoy it a lot more than I have. |
