A friend of mine went on Thursday night...She liked Rankin, Bebe and Skybell but thought Eddie's voice was weak and the Cliff not sexy enough to drive Sally, Ernst and kit Kat boys wild..and she felt the actor being of color worked against this story given the plot and when it is set(she's biracial herself) She complained about the small band...and
she too had a sticker slapped on her phone, seemingly marring it permanently with her email to Jujamcyn unanswered as of today
I saw this production in London w Fra Free and Amy Lennox and found a lot of it tiresome...a retread of the sleazy Mendes version(which I had liked when it first opened)But I'd see this one for Bebe and Skybell |
