I've wondered how Ashley Lee, who reported this story for the LA Times (and wrote more than once on it) became aware and interested in a summer festival on the other side of the country. She stayed with this story and it had severe repercussions to WTF which had been operating in a similar way-hundreds of interns who paid for the chance to be over worked in unsafe conditions-for a half a century.
