I’m in total agreement with Sondheim’s comment to Baranski on her “By the Sea,” that I never imagined it could be a showstopper. I was there at the “20th anniversary” SWEENEY in LA, and she took the roof off the Ahmanson with it. Angela herself was seated in my row, visibly delighted with the whole show, but especially this number.
