I enjoyed the pomp and circumstance of the London preshow with the "alley entrance" and the walk down a very claustrophobic hallway to the bar area with the half-naked performers. Many on the board seem disturbed by the "sticker on phone" but I found it just part of the drama of the preshow. The sticker came off for me without issue. However, the show itself was just ok. I saw an unknown cast and they were fine, but I couldn't feel a connection. I almost felt like my emcee was so aggressive that he was going to potentially jump in the audience and commit murder. He was literally screaming the lyrics. Sally's vocals were low key and slurry. Almost like she was bored. It was obviously a Directorial choice. But after swearing to myself that i wouldn't attend the Broadway production, the comments are making me think that I should? Even though they are not all positive, they have made me curious to see the two leads.
