| Now that everything's opened, how does the Best Musical race look? I think Days of Wine and Roses, Illinoise, and Suffs are definitely in. Although Hell's Kitchen has its detractors, I think that enough people like it that it will probably get enough votes to get in, particularly since I think the other options are not going to have a lot of passionate voters, and the votes will be scattered quite a bit. That last slot could be any of Here Lies Love Water for Elephants The Outsiders Heart of Rock and Roll The Notebook in roughly that order, I think. I would say Here Lies Love for sure, because I think it has passionate voters, but I don't know if they will nominate two closed shows when there are so many new musicals that are still open that could use the box office help. I don't think The Great Gatsby, Back to the Future, How to Dance in Ohio, Harmony, Once Upon a One More Time or Lempicka are getting past all five of those shows. |
