FWIW, I think the score for The Grand Tour is not nearly on the level of the scores for Dear World and Mack & Mabel. I know the score has fans among smart people, and I wish I had the same high regard for it.

Btw, in April 1976, it was announced that Alec McCowen and Richard Kiley were possibly to star in a musical version of Jacobowsky and the Colonel. (Hard for me to imagine that Kiley would have been interested in that role.) The score was by Stan Daniels, who had first worked on it with no book writer. Leonard Gershe was hired to write the book. As late as February 1977, it was mentioned in the press that this was still being planned.
