I have lots of quibbles with that set, but I think the logic behind it is very clear. As you say, early on Bobby magically moves from her apartment into their apartment n a way that cannot be realistic. Once that rule is established, this everything is in boxes, Alice in Wonderland, we’re going to play with size and scale Follow organically and logically.
I don’t think it totally works, and I was really miffed by the brownstone steps that resemble nothing in New York City, but if a set tells you upfront that it’s abstract, I don’t think you can critique it for being abstract. |
