Yeah, and I do think it works and is very helpful. it's not accurate to France obviously, that British accents, but outside of France I don't think anyone (including Brits and especially Americans) have any idea the difference between class-influenced accents in France. "At the end of the day" you have to serve the show to the audience you're performing it for.
I wonder, if Les Miz had begun in America, would it have done the same accent approach? |
