| From what I can gather from various sources, her absences are random and not scheduled, which is why the production is unable to pre-warn ticketholders. She seems to miss 2 to 3 shows every (or almost every) week. She's pregnant, and I've been told she has a serious personal situation that causes her to miss performances. Someone on BWW posted that she missed at least 3 shows last week. Prior to this Merrily revival, I attended 6 shows which featured Mendez in the cast, and she was present all 6 times. When I saw Merrily on Wed., Nov. 15,2023, she was out. I was disappointed; however, the understudy was fine, and I enjoyed the performance. |
