| The other board has multiple people the Tom Holland production is still coming in. That’s a lot of Romeo and Juliet for one season (to say nothing of Othello also being revived in the spring). And a message board isn’t a confirmation either. But Tom Holland making his Broadway debut feels like a bit more of an event while this one feels like a shrug. I guess this one would have the advantage of coming first - but assuming the Tom Holland one doesn’t get horrible reviews when it opens next month in the UK, when you look at Sam Gold’s track with Shakespeare on the one hand vs. the current Spider-man who sold out the entire London run in two hours, there’s no doubt in my mind which will do better over here. |
