I have not yet seen LEMPICKA, but this reeks of desperation to me -- not unlike KPOP lashing out at Jesse Green in the final days of their brief Broadway run. Why advertise that you got bad reviews? Especially when it was immediately apparent to people that the "positive" quote -- from a much earlier incarnation of the show -- was cherrypicked/Frankenstein'd in the first place.
They're throwing anything at the wall as a May closing seems unavoidable (which I suppose I respect), but it's not going to work one bit. |
