Lempicka is number 2. It is a lot like war paint. I knew nothing about her and only seen a few of her pieces in museums. I felt it covered her life well. It’s a little long at over 2.5 hours but it is a very slick sophisticated production. I enjoyed it. But like most of the shows, I wouldn’t see it a second time. But I will listen to score when released—it isn’t as generic as most of the spring musicals.
FYI, number 1 show was water for elephants. Oh Mary was number 3. |
