Apologies. I was looking at an old set of rules. It used to be max four per category (this was the case as late as the 2016-2017 season- it looks like the rule changed for either 2017-2018 or 2018-2019 but I have to check that). It technically still is actually (“There shall be no more than four nominees in each category…”), unless there are nine or more eligible candidates, in which case there are five nominees. And then if there is a tie for last place (it used to be if the votes were close, but now it needs a tie), there would be more.
So there will be three nominees for Play Revival this year, four for Musical Revival, and then five for Play and Musical. |
