It’s cheaper to produce in London. So a shorter run has a better chance of returning investment.

There aren’t a lot of examples in articles, but betrayal in 13/14 season cost $565k to mount and a running cost of $105k/wk in London. The same production on broadway cost $2.6m with $260k/wk cost. I assume the numbers in article were dollars and not pounds, but it still cost almost 5 times less in London.
