| When I was a Tony nominator from 2007-2010, the rule was we had to see everything. If we missed one show we had to recuse ourselves from the whole season. They are three-year terms. If we did recuse ourselves from a season, we then were allowed on for a fourth season. We also had to recuse ourselves if our spouse or family member was involved in a show in any capacity. I don't know if the rules have changed. In those days there were only 19 of us for two of my seasons and 17 for the third. (In all three seasons there were recusals. I think all three started with 21 on the committee.) Now, I think, there are 50. |
