Tyne is apparently ill. The first preview (Friday night) was canceled, but Keating went on for her yesterday and will today as well. It sounds as though Scott Ellis explained to the audience that Ms. Keating (and the other understudies and stand-bys) had just been hired the week before and had not had any rehearsal prior to Friday. According to a poster on broadway world, Keating was excellent.
Live theatre, folks! I'm sure anyone who wanted a refund was able to get one. |
