Last night, Joni Mitchell gave her first performance ever at the Grammys, singing her classic ''Both Sides Now'' from her 1969 album, ''Clouds.''

''Clouds'' earned her her first Grammy 55 years ago. And yesterday before the CBS broadcast, Mitchell won her 10th Grammy for Best Folk Album.

Now 80 and having recovered from a 2015, near-fatal brain aneurysm that initially left her speechless, she was so moving as she relived those lyrics.

I wonder if Mitchell ever considered writing a Broadway show. At IBDB.com, she is listed with three credits:

* 1982: ''Rock N' Roll! The First 5,000 Years,'' a revue that only lasted a week, featured her classic ''Both Sides Now.''
* 2000: Patti LuPone did a concert called ''Matters of the Heart,'' which included Mitchell's ''The Last Time I Saw Richard.''
* 2022: ''Almost Famous,'' the musical by Cameron Crowe and Tom Kitt, based on Crowe's 2000 Oscar-winning movie, included Mitchell's ''River.''
