It only occurred to me when I saw the production a second time that the addition of the song "Growing Up" is probably supposed to thematically replace the graduation framing.
"facings facts, not escaping them, still with dreams, just reshaping them"
The song - beautiful in moments - seems to be about Frank trying to justify selling out on his dreams and his friends. |
