My response wasn’t to Zelgo.

There are separate issues here: one is the right of audiences to know if they are seeing a performer they paid to see; one is what sort of reasonable accommodations can be made for an employee to do their job, and whether there comes a point for an actor where they are not fulfilling the terms of their employment; and one is whether actors should put being on stage ahead of all other concerns, which is seen by some as the only measure to judge an actor.

The examples offered by the poster I responded to was get punched in the face or miss your show - and what kind of sadomasochists are we asking actors to be when getting punched in the face is the preferred outcome?
