The album is one of my favorite cast recordings and I revisit it often. I agree that the recording is superior to the filmed version. I always took her "Here's Rose!" to be both a nod to Gypsy Rose Lee being sung about AND her almost playing Rose in London. One of my favorite parts of the album (I can never remember where it's at for some reason) is her story about being at a party with Judy Garland. I love when she says (doing her best Judy Garland impression), "Elaine, I never thought I'd say this, but goodnight." Also, her "Something Good" is absolutely sublime and chokes me up every time. She was such a great storyteller and consummate performer.

Take care,
Jason
