| really? You thought Billy Porter was sassy? What performance did you see? I saw this afternoon (Sunday's) matinee and I was looking for sassy or anything. It seemed to me that every line they had was yelled at full volume and with one emotion which appeared to be anger. As far as hadestown goes, I wish Andre De Shields had been in "Jelly's Last Jam" (I think that Billy Porter has given some fine performances previously andthat is another reason I found their performance in this which I considered a one note performance to be such a disappointment. But yes,many people do seem to disagree with me. |
