| I don't remember the source, but I thought i read that BTTF's weekly nut is about $850K. What's more interesting to me in a way is that they're selling a ton of seats, but at significant discounts. I think I've spoken to at least 15 or 20 people who have seen the show, and each and every one of them have loved it, not that it's great theater by any means but that it's 2 1/2 hours of sheer entertainment. If that tiny sample is representative of the majority of those who see it, I'm surprised that word-of-mouth isn't generating more demand. They say that musicals rely primarily on word of mouth to sell tickets, unlike plays which are very review dependent in the absence of a ticket selling star. |
