Are you talking about the discarded playbills that were laying on the floor in the rows or the ones in bundles at the rear of the theater? Whenever I see a show in New York without my partner, I bring him back a discarded playbill on the floor from each show I see. I've never known an usher to complain. On the rare occasion (usually off-Broadway in a small theater) when there are no discarded playbills on the floor, I have politely asked an usher for an extra one. I've never had anyone refuse my request in over 30 years of going to theaters in New York. | |
