| Perhaps most noted for his controversial play "Saved." I remember finding the Off-Broadway revival jaw-dropping, not necessarily because of that famous scene where the bored young people stone a baby to death in its carriage. What I found shocking was that in the following scenes--which I expected to be the tragic fallout of that action--it was never mentioned. It simply happened, with no repercussions in the play. Chilling. |
