What is your source of "buzz"?

Not everything can be coming with The Producers level excitement from out of town, or even Tammy Faye level.

I think the most buzz is around The Notebook and Suffs (though much of the buzz i've heard privately is more negative buzz).

Several of these shows are moving from runs in NYC (Suffs, Hells Kitchen) or NJ (Gatsby)... most of what I've heard is lukewarm overall about all 3.

None of these shows have huge stars except Gatbsy with Jeremy Jordan... when Jeremy Jordan is the biggest name in the 8 new musicals coming, you know it's not a celeb-forward season and it's not going to be as buzzed about as if there were.
There are several other theater names in these shows, some more famous or noteworthy than others, but none that I think move the sales needle or the buzz needle that much.

The big names are only in the writers, with Huey Lewis, and Alicia Keys being the only real celebrity name involved in any of these, and Ingrid Michaelson writing The Notebook (I'd call her a pretty mild name in terms of famous modern pop successes, though she has had one very big hit single)... she's certainly established and has a fanbase, but she has less followers on social media than most of the drag queens on RuPaul do.

I think there isn't a ton of buzz because there's A) so many of them, B) nothing to break through, like say the concert and casting of the Sunset Blvd revival... it takes a lot for real buzz to happen.
