I agree: this show was awesome. It was expertly crafted, terrifically danced, and beautifully presented: the highlight of my 'theater week' so far.
I saw it on Tuesday and have been pondering what sort of future it might have. My first impulse is that it should go straight to B'way -- but now I wonder. Yes, it has a story of sorts, but it's way more ballet than even something like _Moving Out_. (Which I applaud: the more dance, the better, for me.) But it might have, as Zelgo notes, a rather more limited built-in audience than a traditional musical.
So, if you can manage to grab a ticket before its run concludes, you absolutely should. I'm not quite sure where it could be re-mounted (though it absolutely should be!). |
