It’s excellent. A real love letter to the theatre and to Shakespeare. Mark Gatiss is brilliant as Gielgud, who directs Burton in Hamlet. It’s a struggle between the old fashioned way of approaching the play-beautiful musical ethereal playing and the more contemporary robust way. It’s a real treat and worth catching on National Theatre Live. |
