I assume it’s just the atmosphere pics of central stage area and maybe performances.

I think the slower entry is the security checkpoint and not ticket scanning vs ripping tickets. Most people have it ready on their phone and it’s a quick scan. I think concert tickets scanning has been around for two decades. Theaters seemed to take longer to deploy but I’d say scanning paper tickets has been around since 2010. I think electronic ticketing in post Covid for the most part.
