Thank you for mentioning David Baker, whose dance music for Cabaret is so terrific. Dance arrangers are always so undersung. Even the JAY recordings rarely list the dance arrangers, while recording the dance arrangements.

Baker also wrote fine music for several flop musicals with worthy scores.

Re "Meeskite": It was in the original London production, and it's on the brilliant cast recording of that production. It was in the original licensed version, and I presume was in all or nearly all of the productions of that version at least till the 1987 version was licensed. It was also in the 1986 London revival, which produced a cast recording.

Even after the 1987 version was licensed, I think some companies did the original version, which remained available, and perhaps still remains available? Of course, no one does it anymore, or if anyone does it, it's only local productions that do it, and you don't hear about them.
