| Although I don't think there has been unanimity, I think there has been a consensus on a small number of this year's new musicals. I think the consensus is that Here Lies Love and Illinoise are worthy, and that Once Upon a One More Time and Back to the Future (aside from the car) were underwhelming. But there's a large number of musicals for which most people seem to be in the realm of, "not horrible but not amazing," and for many of them, there is a lot of disagreement about whether they are closer to horrible or amazing. Hell's Kitchen seems to be the most polarizing, where some people really loved it and some people really hated it. | |
