I find the very existence of this hilarious, as back in 2000 I wrote a short story for ANALOG magazine about two virtual reality game programmers—one a Sondhead, one a fan of ALW)—who, in their spare time, create a VR scavenger hunt game inspired by their favorite musicals, like a jeweled music box at the bottom of “the silent film actress’ swimming pool.”
