1) recasting is risky. There have been many hits that started losing money with new casts.
2) ATG probably has another show already booked in the theater. Now that they have jujamcyn theatres they have 7 but most already booked in the fall with Hadestown,
Harry Potter, Book of Mormon and moulin rouge continuing on. Cabaret is probably staying for the next season with early grosses so high. Sunset moving to st James. That only leaves the Hudson. AGT is behind queen of Versailles and I think a play transferring from London. |
