In addition to the general meh reception of the spring shows, there are very few performances that are getting singled out. I think Neuwirth is likely to pick up her third Tony.
Right now, I would say the likely acting winners are
For musicals:
Leading Actor: Jonathan Groff
Leading Actress: this is tough - if the voters have to have seen every nominee, I think Kelli O'Hara will win, but Maleah Joi Moon or Shaina Taub could win if their show has momentum
Supporting Actor: Daniel Radcliffe (or Ricky Ubeda if Illinoise has momentum)
Supporting Actress: Bebe Neuwirth
For plays:
Leading Actor: Jeremy Strong
Leading Actress: Sarah Paulson
Featured Actor: I have no idea, maybe Eli Gelb
Featured Actress: Kara Young |
