| A few weeks ago I posted wondering why she wasn't being promoted more as a star of the show. Now I'm even wondering more since she is the show. I don't think I've ever seen this before in a show: during What Would You Do she got a huge ovation MID-SONG. (this was last Thursday) I mean I guess I've seen people get applause for hitting a high note or maybe like in Dreamgirls on the Tonys where the music almost cues an ovation. This was an ovation for acting. Not because she hit a note but for because of the drama. There was just a moment towards the end that was so emotional the crowd just roared. Comedy, dance, now heavy drama...Bebe can do it all! Regardless of the rest of the show that moment is something I'll never forget. |
