Concept album for "southern gothic supernatural musical" by Stephen King-John Mellencamp and T Bone Burnett. Original music and lyrics plus key dialog excerpts performed by Elvis Costello, Sheryl Crow, Rosanne Cash, Neko Case, Kris Kristofferson, Dave & Phil Alvin, Taj Mahal, Ryan Bingham, Matthew McConaughey, Samantha Mathis and Meg Ryan. According to it was "reportedly produced like a radio play, with a full book of text, as well as two CDs that include all dialogue and songs and a third CD with only the music." "Making of" featurette. A single disc of highlights may also be released. First track, Elvis Costello performing "That's Me," released in Rolling Stone Magazine.
