| Karen Mason was 42 when she was cast as Glenn's understudy in L.A. prior to Broadway and, according to her Wikipedia page, went on to play Norma some 300 times between the L.A. and New York runs. That's not to say that she played the part younger, but she was pretty faithful to the way Glenn Close was directed. |
