I keep mine in binders going back to my first show in 1990. (I'm an out-of-towner, so I only have four binders' worth.) I do go back and look at them fairly often -- when I see that a performer I recently saw had a role in some show I saw in the past, I will check to see if they were in the show at the time I attended. I also keep them as a record of seating in the theaters -- if I remember that a seat was particularly comfortable/uncomfortable at a given performance or the sighlines were bad in a given section, it helps in picking seats for future productions in that house. I also like having the physical record of the artwork for each production.

I live in dread of the day when Broadway moves to digital playbills like they have with tickets. I'm sure it's coming.
